A Monologue with the Æther

I have played exactly one game of Diplomacy way back in the early to mid 1990s. I loved it. It, being a time consuming game, is difficult to find a group of people who have the time to commit to playing at one sitting. A few years ago (okay, more like 9), I started thinking about writing my own web-based rules adjudicator and pairing it with an Javascript driven SVG map and database back end. It has fairly complicated game mechanics whereby I mean detailed with lots of edge cases. I have, however, achieved at least one goal, a nominal map.
