Day Sixty-five: Saturday 1 September 1990
Montpelier, ID to Pocatello, ID
Two days of rest have restored my knee. The only thing that stands out in my memory is that riding through south eastern Idaho is riding through a series of valleys between walls of mountains. The weather continues to be nice, and at least I am not currently riding through the desert. I reach Pocatello, Idaho late in the day and am fortunate enough to find a motel room. It’s move in weekend at Idaho State. I watch the local news and read the local paper. Both lead with stories about the high winds from the south at this time of year in the Snake River Valley.
