A Monologue with the Æther

I awaken around 5 am, hungry and rested. The Weather Channel® is still playing on the television. I go eat breakfast, a short stack of pancakes with bacon and orange juice. I get a much earlier start this day. The day is still unbearably hot and humid, and I’m still fat. The most interesting thing to occur today is while taking a rest break after crossing the James River from VA 10 to VA 5, I meet a South African couple touring the United States. The husband talks to me for awhile about what I’m doing. The trip to my friend’s flat in Richmond, VA is hot and sticky but uneventful.
