Easy Site Navigation
When I redesigned this site, one of my goals was to add a means of navigating by keyboard. After some research, I found a nice, simple Javascript library called Mousetrap. Hovering over a link in most browsers will invoke a tool-tip like help message, if a navigation key is set on that link, then a text bubble pops up with the keystroke needed to invoke that link. Simple. Users without Javascript running lose nothing; it’s just a nicety. Sure you could turn on the browser setting that lets you tab through all the links on a page and invoke them by hitting enter, but what if there are a lot of links that’s a lot of tabbing, to each their own. Use it or don’t; the site works for all either way without any loss of information for anyone.
